Course outline for B.Ed.
The course offered by SCOE is a two year fulltime Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme through Rani Channamma University, Belgaum. The programme is split into four Semesters. Each semester consists of 16 weeks duration. It involves an average of 35 period of instruction per week.

SCHEME OF INSTRUCTION.
In the first semester there shall be 5 papers (3 Core papers + 2 UDPs) and Microteaching + Integrated lessons. In the second semester there shall be 5 papers (4 core papers + 1 optional paper) and Practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. In the third semester there shall be 4 papers (2 core papers + 2 SSP papers) and Practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. In the fourth semester there shall be 4 papers ( 2 core papers + 2 APSS papers) and Practicum related to practice teaching and community oriented activities. Each paper shall carry 100 marks.
Semester end examination of 3 hours durations for 80 Marks |

Admissions Criteria
Our institution intake is 100 per year, out of 100 seats 50 seats are
allotted by cell (Govt.) and 50 management seats are admitted as
per govt policy.
Eligibility for Admission
• Any Under Graduate Degree with minimum for GM of 50%
marks in Graduation
• Any Under Graduate Degree with minimum SC/ST/Cat-1PH of
45% marks in Graduation
• Electives/Optional: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology,
Geography, Economics, History, English, Kannada.
• Language: English / Kannada / Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu

Eligibility for Admission :

- All candidates must be graduate with B.A. or B.Sc and shall have studied any one of the languages and two of the three electives (optionals) specified below.

- Languages : Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit.

- Electives/Optionals : Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathemetics, Histroy, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, English, Kannada, Urdu, sanskrit.

- All the candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of degree including electives and languages,excluding internal assessment marks and class examination marks. But SC/ST/CAT.-I/Physically handicapped candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate of all the three years of degree including electives and languages,excluding internal assessment marks and class examination marks.
